It's a 3-minute walk to Nankai & Osaka Metro Tengachaya Station; from there Nankai trains take you to Namba in 2 stops (5 minutes), and Kansai Airport is reachable in 35 minutes without transfers. The Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line connects directly to major sightseeing spots such as Kyoto, Tsutenkaku, and Kuromon Ichiba Market. The wet areas include two showers in addition to the tsubo-yu, offering excellent facilities. Beyond size, the house’s concept-driven design is a major attraction. It provides a calm, comfortable atmosphere. So far, the fewest guests have been 2 people and the most 8 people. The place name Tengachaya, where Bijou Suites Chaya stands, has a history: Toyotomi Hideyoshi stopped here on his way to Sakai and Sumiyoshi and enjoyed a tea ceremony, which led to the place being called Denka Chaya (later Tengachaya). Each room is designed so you can feel that historical concept. ◆About the 1st floor Open the small gate, pass the front garden, and enter the building through the entrance. From the entrance you’ll find a free doma space, the kitchen, and a living area with a horigotatsu. <Kitchen> Basic cooking utensils and seasonings (salt, pepper, olive oil) are available for your use. Further inside there is a living room with a large dining table for six. <Living> Featuring an impactful golden wall inspired by Hideyoshi’s golden tea room, the space combines a petite café-style doma area with a relaxing living space where you can enjoy the horigotatsu and view the tsuboniwa. <Tsuboniwa> Enjoy the four seasons of Japan from fresh greens to autumn leaves via the tsuboniwa, visible from the semi-open-air bath and the small windows in the living room to immerse yourself in an extraordinary atmosphere. Beyond that are the toilet, changing room, shower room, and the tsubo-yu bath. <Semi-open-air bath> The ceramic bathtub has a far-infrared effect that warms the body. You can relax and warm up while gazing at the tsuboniwa from this semi-open-air indoor bath. The bathroom is equipped with POLA shampoo & treatment and body soap; the changing room has a ReFa hair dryer and two types of SALONIA hair irons. ◆About the 2nd floor Climb the stairs beside the entrance to reach an 8-mat tatami Japanese-style room where three futons can be laid out—relax on the tatami. To the right is a bedroom with one double bed, and to the left another bedroom with one double bed. The beds are carefully selected from the globally trusted bedding maker Simmons to ensure comfortable sleep and quality during your stay. There is a washing machine on the balcony and air conditioning in each room. From the Japanese room, climb the ladder to a loft large enough for two futons—a space children especially enjoy. A 3-minute walk to Nankai & Osaka Metro Tengachaya Station, which has excellent access to Kansai Airport, Kyoto, and central Osaka. From there Nankai trains take you to Namba in 2 stops (5 minutes) and to Kansai Airport in 35 minutes without transfers. Most tourist spots, including USJ, are accessible directly or with just one transfer.


At night the area is a quiet residential neighborhood, but recently it has developed significantly with many restaurants and shopping malls.


The place name Tengachaya comes from the history of Toyotomi Hideyoshi stopping here on his way to Sakai and Sumiyoshi to enjoy tea—originally called Denka Chaya and later Tengachaya. It is one of Osaka's older neighborhoods, where traditional Showa-era izakaya mingle with modern stylish eateries, showcasing Osaka's mixed charm.


Convenience stores and a large supermarket are within a 2-minute walk, and many restaurants around the station stay open late.
